I have an indicated unread e-mail in my inbox which is nowhere to be found

My 'inbox' indicates (by boldface) an unread e-mail downloaded from my Bellhosting server. However no such unread e-mail is to be found in my entire inbox. A direct search of the Bellhosting server does show any unread e-mails. Is this an error on the part of Thunderbird or is there some mysteriously hidden e-mail somewhere.
