Hello,

Is there a way to change the name of the pinned site? For example, if I pin mozilla.com, I would like to change the name to Mozilla instead of showing mozilla.com. This is crucial for some sites that the URL doesn't match the site title.

Thanks, Bob

Hi cameljok, On the tiles page currently there is not a feature to rename them, however you can drag a bookmark on to the tiles page (about:newtab) on the desktop version of Firefox.

However I would happy to suggest that you can rename the tiles on the new tab page in Firefox for Android by long tapping on the entry and editing the name.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. On Firefox for Android, you can't edit the site name in Top Sites after you have pinned the site. When I long-press the site and click edit, it only allows me to change the URL and not the title of the pinned site. The only workaround I found was to bookmark the site, change the bookmark title, and then add it to Top Sites. At that point, it will use the title of the bookmark.

I thought I remember that at some point in an earlier version of Firefox for Android you could edit the pinned site and change the title and URL.

Thanks..
