How do I clear the history? 

   Tap Menu (hardware menu button on some devices)
   Tap Settings
   Tap Privacy
   Under CLEAR PRIVATE DATA tap Clear Now
   Choose what to delete and tap Clear data. 
   You can also make it so that Firefox will clear whatever private data you want cleared on exit (right under clear now, above in settings)
