Mozilla is set as my Start Page, in settings, and the green lock appears in the Search Bar.

However, with just a single letter typed in the search bar - a gray globe appears.

I have tried the "Refresh", and even removed Fire Fox & reinstalled after a complete clean up in the registry.

Suggestions please?

Once you open a page via the HTTPS protocol then the padlock should reappear after the page has finished loading. This has to do with pageproxystate="valid" that changes to pageproxystate="invalid" when you start typing in the location/address bar.

My issue has now been resolved, but this gives me an opportunity to say Thank You to Mozilla.

Have used Fire Fox forever & Love It!. Love what you all represent - and am ready to become a serious supporter.

Thank you again! Hold fast to your tech ethics! Keep up the great work!
