I am a Systems Administrator for an organization that blocks executables running from temp zip/rar/7zip locations. We do this as per Microsoft best practices to prevent ransomeware such as Cryptolocker. Unfortunately it appears that the Firefox zip extracts and launches from a temp location and the install fails on my computers. Do you offer an executable that does not have this functionality?

hi briandmitchell, can you try if it is working correctly with the full installer instead that can be obtained from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ ?

The Firefox installer is a self extracting 7-Zip archive, so using that installer will always require to extract the files to a folder in the Windows temp folder.

You would have to extract the files from the self extracting archive to avoid this and copying them yourself to the installation folder. You can get the 7-zip program here: http://www.7-zip.org/
