Firefox start screen is taken over by Yahoo

Inadvertently I downloaded Firefox from www.mozilla.org and found this was a Yahoo takeover site. I deleted the entire programme from the Control Panel and reloaded Firefox from www.mozilla.com. However, the Yahoo start screen will not go away even though it no longer appears on the list of programs. Can you help please so that I can get the correct Firefox start screen

Firefox Latest, downloaded 28.2.15 ??

Firefox 36.0 is the latest Release version. Available here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/#desktop or here: [for the full, off-line installer package] https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

Neither contains anything "extra" from Yahoo - only the default search engine for US version is Yahoo - and that can easily be changed.
