There are four types of update settings available in Firefox. They are:

  • Automatically install updates (recommended: improved security): Firefox automatically downloads and installs found updates.
    • Warn me if this will disable any of my add-ons: If you wish to be prompted if the downloads will disable any installed add-ons, select that setting.
  • Check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them: Firefox lets you choose if you want to download and install updates. If you do not choose to do so, you can download them at a later time.
  • Never check for updates (not recommended: security risk): Firefox will not check for updates.

To get these settings, from your Firefox menu button then click Options. Go to Advanced > Update. You can know more about it from here: [|All about updates]

thing is i have not changed setting, so it notified me before, & i think it was with automatic update on that gave me popup window about installation or restart (something like that), did they just removed it? cause i can see why some would not like it, it just gave me a feeling that something is off cause i haven't seen that popup for 3updated at least

my aromatic is on, so it should update silently so i don't notice what it updates & next day i open its just new version
