I received an email from a suspicious sender; i.e., "gas card" and went to filter it/delete messages and when I keyed in "run now" my entire inbox disappeared! I have not been able to recover my inbox.

Chosen solution

The problem seems to be that I hit the key to run filters on my trash bin instead of my inbox. This moved everything - including incoming mail - to trash. When I changed the filter to run on inbox - it corrected. Thanks for your attempts - I love you guys.

have you looked in your deleted folder? It sounds to me like you deleted everything, not just mail from that one sender.
