Thunderbird seems not to be able to let me log on to bt email - why?

Thunderbird has not had a problem before relating to BT email, which I was asked by BT to change to a while back. Since we got back from holiday and I turned on the PC today it seems it cannot log in, it keeps giving me a "log in failed" message. This is also true on my Kindle, where it says "authentication failed". My BT Hub shows a blue light and seems to be working.

Any ideas as to why I cannot get at my emails today?

Since Thunderbird does not run on a Kindle it sounds like there is another problem. Check with your provider and see if they made any changes.
