re: FIREFOX VERSION 38.0.5

quote Allow remote content in messages I presume you are not talking about Firefox as first this is not a Firefox forum and you refer to 'messages'. so if you accessed the 'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Privacy' in Firefox browser then you are not going to get the same results.

I presume you are talking about Thunderbird. So do not try 'Tools' in any other program or browser. Thunderbird options are only in Thunderbird.

'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Privacy' or 'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Options' > 'Privacy'

You can click on the 'Exceptions' button to add exceptions

You can stop all blocking of remote content, but that is seriously not advisable. Read the info first before doing this, so you really understand what you are permitting. select to 'Allow remote content in messages'

OR access it via Message - see info select email so it shows in Message Pane below the header where it says: 'To protect your privacy, Thundrebird has blocked remote content in this message' Click on the 'Options' button and select the required option from the drop down.

  • 'Show remote content in this message' = show remote content just for this particular message
  • 'Edit remote content options...' to Display remote content by default (see previous two methods on accessing this section).
  • 'Allow remote content for email address' = allow the remote content for all messages from this sender.
