When I want to access my email on Verizon.net, Tbird no longer sends the PW and I don't know where to add it to pop.verizon.net I don't know why PW is no longer passed. Sometimes Tbird asks for PW and then may get mail from V but not always.

I have been there and there is no PW listed for pop.verizon.net and I do not see how I can add an entry for pop I am at a loss as to what to do and do not know why Tbird doesn't pass a PW to Verizon - sometimes it does, sometime not and I cannot get my mail from Verizon to Tbird now. When I click Get Messages, Tbird looks and times out.

If there are no passwords there that you care about, try starting from scratch by deleting

 signons.sqlite, key3.db, logins.json

from your thunderbird profile directory

 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_where-is-my-profile-stored

If doing that does not help, check the value of signon.rememberSignons - it should be true see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Password_not_remembered_-_Thunderbird#No_checkbox_to_remember_passwords
