I don't know why my firefox always usage over 1GB of RAM although I only open 3 tabs, I also use very less add-ons. How can I fix that, thank all.

It hard to generalise about memory usage. it is probably not too unusual for Firefox to use over 1GB of RAM.

However right now I have 4 windows open and dozens of tabs yet am still under 1GB . The machine I am on right now has memory issues and is rather temperamental, its only got one 2GB RAM chip at present so I would soon notice if Firefox started gobbling memory.

You do not seem to have even posted from Firefox so presumably you are finding it unuseable.

Instead of the Refresh (That will remove your Firefox extensions) try creating a new additional profile, then run in Firefox's safemode with all plugins disabled. Does that help ?

Please post back to say what you tried and how you get on.
