When looking in the settings in my Thunderbird email program, it notes that my password was being sent unencrypted. So, I clicked the option to encrypt it. Now I cannot get back in as it won't recognise the encrypted password. What can I do to change it back?

Your provider has to support encryption before you can use this option. Thunderbird is just warning you that your provider is not keeping up with the times and using this service.

From the menu Bar select Tools-Account Settings and change back to Normal Password if that is the encryption you are asking about or set Connection Security to None if that is what you are asking about.
