Hello there! The last 2 or 3 months I have problems connecting to facebook. Every other site loads just fine. I cannot approach facebook no matter what the browser is (mozilla/chrome/ie ). I am using windows Xp . The facebook page keeps loading forever. Nothing shows up.Not even an error. On the left down corner of the mozilla bar I get the "waiting for https://fbstatic-a.akamaihd.net/rsrc.php/v2/yp/r/BBrcjuJJrP2.css" loading message.I am searching for a solution for weeks now.No answer so far.I've checked everything ,javascript, malware, cache etc that most forums suggest.I have no idea what's happening. ONE good thing though is that, I got that screenshot from the developer's debugging console .You can see the errors on the console ,and you can also see how the facebook page appears after 15' minutes or so. No images,no nothing.. Thank you in advance ! ps:Sorry for my English,I am from Greece :)

According to the log it appears that some CSS files are blocked because of CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing).

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.
