CCleaner shows a plugin residing in Firefox with no program name or publisher, and with a version number of "0", and it can neither be disabled or deleted. Is this a default Firefox plugin, and if so, what does it do? It does not show up in my Firefox addons list in Firefox and a scan for malware does not detect it.

Try Downloading (link to registry cleaner removed by mod) - it may allow you to delete the entry/file, assuming it finds it. It is worth having both as Easy Cleaner finds a lot of stuff that CCleaner misses, but in reverse CCleaner can sometimes find stuff that Easy Cleaner misses too. I use both.

Firefox/Mozilla is not in a position to guarantee these programs and nor am I. Just keep in mind that Mozilla does not offer support for them.

The only thing to remember about using Easy Cleaner is that when you click on it to start it, always do a right click on the executable icon and then select 'Run As Administrator'. If you don't run it as an Admin, then you cannot delete anything from the Registry.

It can sometimes take time to finish the delete, so wait for it. Don't shut it down before it has finished or you might corrupt the program. At other times it is hard to know if it has run the delete. I check that by running the 'find' again and usually you will see that all the files have been deleted, except any it will protect and refuse to delete.

Please don't use the software suggested above, we do not support or suggest using any sort of "cleaning tool" on this forum as they tend to cause more problems than anything. If you are still having an issue I'd suggest a profile refresh, Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

Why don't your remove the whole post Tyler? After all the client is already using a registry cleaner in CCleaner, so obviously he will search Easy Cleaner and find it the same way he probably found CCleaner.

I know we can't recommend registry cleaners, because many can damage registries - the reason I was careful to say we cannot guarantee or support them. The one I suggested, without any recommendation, is safer than the one the client is already using, hence my reason for the suggestion.
