Thunderbird has a feature "Get new messages for" ... that brings up a list of all accounts as well as "Get messages for all accounts" and "Get messages from all auth. accounts". So if I want to no longer have an account checked via "Get messages from all auth. accounts", how do I "unauth." the account?

Getting no suggestions here. Is there anywhere else I could ask?

I don't know where that "Get messages from all auth. accounts" message comes from. What add-ons do you have?

In general, there is at present no easy way in Thunderbird to disable an account. You can un-set all the checkboxes for automated mail collection, but that won't stop it trying when you provoke a manual check.

You could also delete any stored passwords but then you have to live with the pain of being nagged for those passwords every time it tries to connect.

You could also try the mozillazine forums.
