I have my homepage set to www.yahoo.com and my new tab option to open a blank tab. For some reason both change to search.yahoo.com whenever I shut down my computer and turn it back on. How do I stop this from happening?

Maybe an add-on is involved. To check, could you start Firefox in Safe Mode?

To start Firefox in Safe Mode, close Firefox and open it while holding down the shift key.
