error messages & unalbe to view em that was sent in sent foler
This started today out of the blue. I can send a "reply" em and I get this following error message: There was a problem including the file file:///C:/DOCUME~1/LOUISE~1/LOCALS~1/Temp/nsemail.html in the message. Would you like to continue sending the message without this file?
I can then send the em, but I cannot view it in sent folder. I cannot tell if any reply was sent and haven't gotten any reposonse from those people I em.
How to correct/change?? thanks Louise
Chosen solution
Try to start *Windows* in safe mode with networking enabled.
- Win8 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode
- Win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
- XP http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx
Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode.

What is your anti-virus software?
Avast/free version. I updated to the latest version the evening before this problem began. THanks. Louise

This is what I have done: 1. I disabled Avast/free version and was able to send em without any problems. 2. I then re-enabled Avast & started the computer in safe mode and was able to send em without any problem.
So now, where do I go from here? Thanks. Louise
Thank you for your time. I just restarted my computer mu usual way and was able to send em without any problem. Louise Job
The problem is/was Avast. In case you run into the same issue again make sure not to let Avast scan the Thunderbird profile folder.
The problem is due to avast antivirus. You must add the file "C:/DOCUME~1/LOUISE~1/LOCALS~1/Temp/nsemail.html" to the ones that are excluded in the list you find in settings general exclusions
Thank you. I chose to discontinue Avast antivirus. This problem has not happened since. THanks again.
