Hundreds of Firefox profiles take 15 minutes to back up. How do I clear them?

Under C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ko2..... appear hundreds of profiles. This doubles my backup time and seems a waste. How can I get rid of all this garbage? If I uninstall Firefox and than reinstall it, will it save my bookmarks and other preferences while getting rid of junk? Thanx

The "real" profile folder is under AppData\Roaming. What is under AppData\Local is the cache and a few other temporary files. You don't need to back that up at all.

Note that you can see the disk cache and its current state on the about:cache page.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Then you can only add this folder to your backup.
