You can try to disable GStreamer support for the HTML5 media player to see if that helps.

You can set the media.gstreamer.enabled pref to false on the about:config page.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

I thought the packaged version of Firefox for linux did not natively have libgstreamer-1.0? I might be wrong there, however it did seem that this work around in a recent linux thread had minimized the crashes:
