URL placeholder text dissapears with highlighted light blue color
When I type over the URL place to do a search or type an actual URL, the text disappears under blocks of color. this also happens around the icons in the tool bar. this goes away when I restart in safe mode my mozilla. I unistalled all add ons from my computer. i use no theme. none of this has worked to have the URL placeholder corrected.

thank you, please try the following: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named gfx.direct2d.use1_1, double-click it and change its value to false and restart firefox once for the setting to take effect...
