How do I adjust my cookie settings to allow for Firefox Sync?

My cookie preferences are set to ask me every time, but when I try to set up Sync it tells me that cookies are disabled.

Chosen solution

Easiest is to allow all cookies temporarily and check which cookies are created. You need at least allow accounts.firefox.com

Also make sure that DOM Storage is enabled.
