Shortly, after updating to thunderbird for osx version 38.2.0, thunderbird does not open hyperlinks in emails anymore. OSX = 10.6.8 on powerbook pro. My profile has always been on a AFP server for backup purposes.

When I copy the complete profile folder to my local machine, and run it from there, all hyperlinks will open correctly in firefox. When the profile folder is on the server everything works, but thunderbird does not even start firefox to open the hyperlinks.

Regards, Marc

We have a knowledge base article on just this eventuality. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Hyperlinks-in-Messages-Not-Working

@Matt, I already found that article, but the solutions in that article does not solve the problem I have. Email hyperlinks work when running thunderbird of a local profile, but do not work when running of a remote profile.

Perhaps the issue is Thunderbird expects to have a local profile. That is why the default location is in roaming. So when roaming profiles are enabled the profile is still local.

Oh, and seriously I suggest you file a bug in Bugzilla. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org
