I logged onto my sync so I can get to my work things on my husbands computer. I tried logging out but all of my bookmarks are still up and my passwords etc. I want to remove my sync from my husband Mozilla page and restore his bookmarks from before I logged in. How can I do this?

If you connect your computer (device) to Sync then you upload data from that device to the Sync server and vice versa merge data stored on the Sync server with data on your computer (device). You would have to remove synced data manually once data is merged to a computer. For the bookmarks you have the possibility to restore the bookmarks from a JSON backup.

All connected devices have the same status and data from all devices is copied to the Sync server and merged among all other connected devices. Data stored on the Sync server will be merged to all connected devices, so you will probably see data from your husband's computer on your own computer. You would have to change the password of the Firefox account to avoid this (changing the Sync password will wipe data stored on the Sync server).
