Thunderbird 31.7.0 does not have this problem, i.e., I can export address as .ldif, .text, or .csv. Exporting in 38.2.0 leaves all fields empty in all cases.

In addition there is the top bar half cut off in 38.2.0, not so in in the earlier 31.7.0 version. . Finally, I wanted to add a screenshot here, but could not do so. the wheel kept turning.

Thanks.

you have to select the address book to export each time you do it.

Did you select an address book before trying to export? my guess is NO as what your describe is what you get if All address books is selected.

Re title bar see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1036644

Screenshots from mac users appear to be absolutely huge. Perhaps you need to reduce resolution to a more friendly level before trying to upload 100-120 DPI is about all most of us can see. Mac displays are often over 300

Dear Matt, thanks. The title bar has been corrected using your suggestion. As to address export, with .ldif your suggestion worked once and then it did no longer (I tried several times the same, trashing and repeat). Curiously, t worked for .csv every time.

The screenshot that I has prepared using Preview was small, a few 100kB, but I guess still too large perhaps. I now made one of about 50 kB, see if it works.

Yop, thanks!
