i used to use 'ytd' youtube downloader (greentree applications) paid 'pro' version, which worked great, but i recently discovered it was filling me up with junk. it has some kind of "spigot" or .exe thing , anyway, no good. someone recommended "freerapid", but now i dont know what to trust. i just want to be able to download lectures and talks etc from youtube and vimeo, but want fast SAFE and capacity to do multiple files at once. any help appreciated thnaks mark

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for download.

There are also external download managers available.

I also use programs from http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/

Pick one and try it. If you don't like it, try another. The Videosoft programs run independent from Firefox.
