click on 'Address Book'

Do not select 'All Address Books' as this is not a real address book. Developers are working out a solution - either they will disable the options made available when selecting 'All Address Books' or they will make it actually possible to export via that selection. If this is what you selected then a blank file is created.

So, select an address book eg: 'Personal Address Book' 'Tools' > 'Export' choose where to save it. give a suitable filename Save as type: either LDIF or Comma separated .csv

note: Comma separated .csv can be opened in other software such as MS Excel.

Then import: 'Tools' > 'Import' Select 'address books' and click on Next select : Text file (LDIF, .tab,.csv, .txt) and click on Next Locate the file you exported and click on Open You may need to map the fields but it should be ok.
