I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but still the same

What security software do you have?

Some security software has Keystroke protection or Anti-Keylogging features that can cause this.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Thanks for you prompt reply FredMcd and cor-el.

I am using ZoneAlarm Extreme and disabling the Anti-keylogger was the easiest to try first and it worked. Disabled Anti-keylogger, closed and restarted the browser and the problem was solved.

Once again, thanks a mil and have a wonderful day.
