I want to delete a single entry in a autofill form, highlighting item and pressing delete key doesn't work. Turned off autofill but entry is still suggested.

The instructions to select the entry (I'm in a Google website search form) and press delete key doesn't work. I followed directions to turn off autofill in forms and it didn't work.

I want to delete some of my prior search terms from the list that Firefox autofills as it is trying to be so helpful. Please!

jscher2000: Likely enough that I don't want to hear all of the crap if he sees it.

cor-el:

This is the case with both the google text field in the google website and in the firefox search window.

I right clicked to forget about this site for Google in the history display and to the site I go to when I select the search term.

I both cases, google and the search term were removed from my history display page (in the sidebar) but when I went to google (and firefox search bar) and typed in the entry --- there it was, again.

I must be doing something incorrectly with your instructions. Do I need to be logged in with admin. privileges?

The suggestion appears on the google website and in the firefox search bar. I read earlier that the google website search field is just a text field in a form and that the suggestions come from the browser.

I right clicked the forget this site when I was in the history sidebar display for google and for the search term and, in both case, they disappeared from the history display -- but still showed up in the google search field and firefox search field.

Maybe I did something incorrectly in your instructions, do I need admin privileges or something?

yes i am on the google website

If you are logged on to Google then it is likely that Google has stored this data as part of your web history and others won't see this.

cor-el,

It looks like you were wanting to talk with me while going through the instructions. If that's the case, I will be available between 10 - 4 pm EST this Friday.

Thanks.

cor-el, I misunderstood your question. All this occurs outside of my google account - hence when I'm not logged into google.
