Im using the current stable version of Firefox, but on Youtube it seems whenever I play a video every few seconds the video will freeze and sometimes display the buffering icon, but the audio continues on fine. I am using hte HTML5 player and it does not do this using any other browsers. I have tried turning Hardware Acceleration on and off, but the problem persists regardless.

Chosen solution

I did a reset of Firefox and disabled plug-ins that were not useful and the problem seems to have gone, so it was either a bad plug-in or a corrupted install I guess.

Use this link to check that your plugins are up-to-date. If any are listed as unknown or research, do not worry about them.

The only one that needed updating was Flash Player, and after updating, the problem persists.

Good work. Try enabling one plugin and restart Firefox. Continue until the problem comes back.
