Why do you CONSTANTLY send notices to update? I will never update until Norton Toolbar works in the updates!

Many of us use Norton Vault, we won't run updates until that is working in your updates. Can you PLEASE stop bombarding me with requests to update multiple times every day.

I think Mozilla greatly under estimated the value of the Norton Internet Tools by the user community, and they failed to give the Norton developers an adequate heads up for the new Firefox. They also under estimated the value of Firefox to the user community when the users were forced to use other browsers because of the Norton problems. I trust Mozilla has learned from this experience, and will value the user community more than it has, and Firefox users will not be forced to use other browsers again.

Norton knew of the change that would affect their toolbar extension for a few months. However Norton just waited until last minute to try and update their toolbar once the old way they were using to make toolbar was not possible anymore (as of Firefox 41.0) and found it was more work than they thought. They even asked Mozilla to delay from Firefox 40.0 to 41.0 for the change but Norton was and is still behind.

Mozilla gave Norton even more time to get ready by pushing the change from Firefox 40.0 to 41.0 Release then. https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2015/05/04/dropping-support-for-binary-components/

No doubt you have already made your mind up about how essential Norton's software is.

For the benefit of other readers of this thread: I wonder if any of you have considered alternative methods of managing such information. I do hope you do not rely solely on Norton Vault for all your passwords and important financial related information.

I do not know what other features are provided by Norton's toolbar are any of them anything like essential ? For instance by default Firefox has basic phishing and malware protection

The core Norton Anti Virus software will work independently of any optional toolbar, and even if you did not use that there are other options such as the free built in Anti Virus software and firewall of Windows 10 or MSE normally available free for Windows 7

Looks like it will be August at the earliest before this is sorted out by Norton. There may be ways to export data from the identity safe or whatever but it may not be very practical.
