messages from vendors I choose to accept, like Golfsmith, Chefs, etc., have been marked: ***phishing***, ***spam***. How can I get this stopped?

Is Thunderbird marking emails as "phishing", "spam", or the like because I receive many emails from certain vendors or groups? How can I remove those tags or whatever you call them from vendors I wish to continue to receive email from? How can I stop it from happening in the future?

re :Is Thunderbird marking emails as "phishing", "spam", or the like

No. Thunderbird will only mark emails as 'Junk'.

If you see any other wording then it is either being marked as such by the filters on the server or by a program you are running such as your anti-virus program or 'spam assassin'.

I'm having the same problem. Toad-Hall's reply convinced me it has more to do with my server marking certain subscribed emails as spam than my anti-virus program. I recently had a hard drive crash and had to install a new drive and reinstall Windows (you know the drill). I was getting these spam-labeled emails before the crash and I'm still getting them. I have a different AV program now. So unless most all AV do this, by logical process of elimination, I'm guessing it's the server.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check this out on my server and report back.
