When I start Simplepass, it says 'Version 6.0'

Too old for current versions of Firefox. From other support threads that have been active lately, Simplepass 8 is what works now-a-days. iirc, the outfit that made Simplepass 6 was bought out (? by Apple) and HP got another company to create the new version 8.
