Can't retrieve new messages. Get this: "The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server pop.suddenlink.net responded: no such message."

Nothing I tried helped.

re ;By the way, it's impossible to get help from Mozzila since they require you to validate your email account by sending you a message to open, AND YOUR PROBLEM IS YOU CAN'T OPEN EMAIL!!! There is no phone number that I could find in the website!

Usually, if the problem is that you are not getting emails downloading to Thunderbird email client, then you would access emails by webmail account.

As for phone numbers, there are non. So, you would not find one. Thunderbird is a free email client which offers free support via this forum which is manned by volunteers offering free time to help other Thunderbird users.

However, I'm pleased to hear that you have managed to clear the email that was causing a log-jam and all is now up and running again.

Sometimes an email on server with bad headers or something amiss can cause this to occur. Sometimes it is the webmail Junk/Spam folder.

Logon to webmail account via browser. Empty the 'Spam/Junk' folder.

In Thunderbird retry the 'Get Messages'

If still no joy: In webmail account, look for the oldest email that has not downloaded. Read and move to another folder.

In Thunderbird retry the 'Get Messages'

Please confirm if you keep a copy of all incoming emails on the server. Report back on results.

I thought about going to Thunderbird through the email website. I did this and it did load, and I was able to delete the message that was causing the problem (a cialis message!). Once I deleted it I was able to get all the messages through Thunderbird.
