My Gmail ID and password are ,correctly, saved on my computer When I go to Gmail I am asked to enter the data again, and no offer to save. This changed 2 days ago. I did not knowingly make any changes to my PC WIN 10 64 bit Thanks Jack

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; never remember history).

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

I have never seen a key icon, using Firefox. As I mentioned, the password and ID are saved correctly, but evidently are not being accessed by Firefox to open Gmail. I can see them in "Saved passwords" box Jack
