After a recent update, I cannot see my bookmarks on the bookmarks toolbar. The toolbar is visible and I have checked the customize window and the "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" is where it should be but i cannot see websites on the toolbar. If I go into the bookmarks folder and the Bookmarks Toolbar from there I can see a list of my bookmarks like before but I cannot open them, delete them or add new ones. I have tried restarting firefox, reinstalling, and restoring to factory setting but nothing seems to work...

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file (bookmarks, history) in the Firefox profile folder.

If the Places Maintenance extension can't repair the places.sqlite database file then remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database file from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.

You may have to restore and older JSON backup manually.
