Thunderbird--Can I choose Classic Reader as the default for reading messages? If so, how?

My computer operating system is Windows 7 Professional. My printers are networked. I prefer to print messages and attachments using the menu bar: File/Print Preview or File/Print. The Print Preview is greyed out, and the Print doesn't do anything. It appears that I can use the menu bar to print if the message is in the Classic Reader mode. However, I need to ask for Classic Reader for each message I open.

Can you provide a screenshot showing where the reference to "classic reader" is displayed?

I've never seen this mentioned in any of my Thunderbird installations. ISTR this topic coming up a long time ago and IIRC it was related to an addon.
