where is 'back' arrow when text disappears?

more options

When I am writing an email, I sometimes go to correct something or alter and whole lines disappear [guess I must touch something to make that happen?] but I used to use 'incredimail' and if this did happen there was arrow 'forward' and arrow back so it made the sentence come back into my email again. How do I get this function using Thunderbird, if available? Thanks,

Von

Both of these actions work in most software so it is not just a Thunderbird thing.
