Win7 Ultimate 64-bit.

I have this problem, but Firefox 44.0 will not load ANY webpages. Just hangs at "connecting" indefinitely.

I performed a system restore (created 1/24/16) which reverted my firefox back to version 43.? and it started working again. At least until it auto-updated to version 44.0. Now it won't work anymore.

I had this issue and while troubleshooting, i tried some of my pages on different browsers and then i tried again on firefox and it started working again. So not sure what caused this weird bug. my system OS is exactly the same as yours.
