I have my Firefox Favourites saved on my external hard drive before I did a clean install when switching to Windows 10. I don't know how to import them back into Firefox as the only options seem to be to import from another browser. Any help would be appreciated.

How did you create this bookmarks backup?

If you have a "C:\Windows.old" folder with personal data from a previously installed Windows version then you can also recover personal data from a previously used Firefox profile in this backup.

See this support article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/import-bookmarks-html-file

Please note that a JSON backup file needs to be Restored, while an HTML file would be Imported. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them#w_restoring-from-backups
