Suddenly and I do mean sudden, the folders on the bookmarks bar disappeared and I did add anything, I only customized moving icons in the upper bars and next thing I know they are gone. Can someone please help me. IF I go to bookmarks area in the menu bar I can see that the bookmarks tool bar is still listed there, but they do not appear on the actual bar. I will include all of the trouble shooting information here:

Chosen solution

Make sure that toolbars like the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.

  • "3-bar" menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars
  • View > Toolbars
You can tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar
  • Right-click empty toolbar area

Open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.

  • "3-bar" menu button > Customize
  • check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize palette to the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette window to restore the default toolbar set.

Places Maintenance {web link} Allows to run Maintenance tasks on the database that drives Places, the bookmarks and history module behind Firefox.

Open the Add-ons Manager. Locate the add-on and press the Options button. Then follow the directions.

Well thanks for trying. It did not work, so I don't have a clue how to fix it. Seriously thanks for trying to help. I may just have to completely uninstall and start over, though I do not know how to get it completely gone.
