Why can't I play Videos?

more options

I can't play any videos. Most are .flv files. I was using Google Chrome and never had a problem playing videos however they won't play in Firefox. I have the add-on from U Tube but that didn't help. I also have "html5 video everywhere". Thank you for your help.

Two things:

(1) Generally speaking, FLV files play in the Flash player plugin. They do not play in the HTML5 player. Where are you having a problem with FLVs?

(2) Firefox uses components supplied by Microsoft to decode MP4/H.264 video, and unfortunately, Microsoft did no release those components on Windows XP. Therefore, you may need to disable or remove HTML5 Everywhere and let sites use Flash if they can.
