I have two computers. All Thunderbird arrives on both computers. If I'm using computer (a) and read the emails is it possible to stop them arriving on computer (b) when i boot it up?

Chosen solution

Go to Account Settings > Server Settings. Untick 'check for new messages at startup'. You can untick 'check for new messages every X minutes' too if you want. You'll then have to request your messages manually.
