I accidently deleted a mail folder instead of a single email, thus losing a year or more or saved emails, and need help with retrieval if it is available.

Instead of highlighting a single email, I accidentally hit delete when an entire mail folder was highlighted. This resulted in deleting the entire folder with all its contents. It was not sent to trash because it was not a single message. Nor is it elsewhere in the system that I can tell, such as the recycle bin. If it is possible to retrieve and restore the deleted folder with all its contents, how do I do it?
