Having complete standstill slowdowns/crashes which I suspect are due to OS upgrades (currently running Mac OS 10.11.4). Can't get Firefox to remain viable long enough to refresh or restore. Have deleted and re-installed to no avail, have attempted other online fixes to no avail. Currently using Safari which works but don't want to get shafted into using it if there's a patch that will get Firefox working again. Suspect this is an issue other people are experiencing. Thoughts?

Create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
