Synchronize contacts between TB and iPhone automatically

I have been able to import my Apple contacts into TB -- the ones which I see on my iPhone.

Is there a way to automatically synchronize these contacts? That is, when I add a contact on my iPhone, it is added to my TB address book?

What Matt has in mind is a two-step process: 1) set up synchronisation for your Apple contacts with contacts in a Gmail account: instructions are here - https://support.google.com/mail/answer/2753077?hl=en 2) in Thunderbird, install the gContactsSync add-on, which synchronises your Thunderbird contacts with the Gmail account.

how did you import your apple contacts? it is simple is you use a web provider as an intermediary like gmail or that apple thing mobile me or whatever it is.
