Chosen solution

At what point do you get the error message?

The standard download of Firefox is a small file that connects back to Mozilla for a larger file. Can you download and save that "stub" installer successfully? Does the problem occur when you run the stub installer? Or does the problem occur after that when Firefox is installing? Or when you first try to run Firefox.

If the stub installer doesn't run well, you can download a full ("offline") installer from the following page (scroll down to your preferred language):

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

For broadest compatibility, choose the 32-bit version, even if you have 64-bit Windows.
