When I hover over the Firefox icon in my taskbar, then hover over one of the tab previews, this happens: -

I've tried starting Firefox in safe mode and it's still the same, so it's not an add-on that's causing this.

It started happening right after I upgraded to Firefox 46.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately that made no difference.

Anyone got any ideas?

I also tried the beta of Firefox 47 but it was the same with that. If I revert back to Firefox 45.0.2, everything is fine, but Firefox versions 46 and above have this issue.

I'm running Windows 10 Pro, fully patched and updated, and my GPU is a 780 Ti. The graphics drivers are fully up to date.
