When I enter fullscreen mode in netflix in firefox, neither the volume wheel nor the mute button on my keyboard work. I've tested and they work when using netflix in other browsers.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

yes

I should also note that the input is being detected, as the netflix overlay appears whenever I try the volume wheel or mute button.

I think that the overlay is blocking access to the controls. Talk to the sites support.
