How do I fix an issue of inability to stay logged in, after I've sucessfully logged into a website using saved username and password.
A website i log onto using stored username and password will not let me stay logged on.
The username is stored and I can successfully log on but after I click a link from the home screen it sends me back to the log in screen saying that i need to log in again, i log in again and it takes me back to the log in screen ad naseum.
I've determined that this is specific to my firefox as i've had no issues logging on through Google Chrome, and with Firefox on other computers. Perhaps this is an issue with the updated version?
I've also tried clearing cookies, cache, restarting etc. to no avail. I'm using the most recent update of Firefox (46.01) on a Mac book pro.
Any suggestions?

What website are you talking about?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
It's a website unique to my university's research system: research.psych.ucr.edu
After entering in safe mode the problem is not there anymore! What does this mean?
I take that back, it worked the first time but then subsequently i'm having the same issue (still in safe mode). I closed Firefox and tried again but again in safe mode, but the same issue occurred of being able to log in and subsequently kicking me out when i click on a link on the home page.
- edit: and the problem still persists outside of safe mode***

Sorry but without access to the site . . . . . Have you tried to contact its support?
Yes i have, its specifically a problem with Firefox as i've mentioned above. I can log on with my username and password with Firefox on another computer as well as through Google Chrome.

Thanks! But I've already tried that route, and it has nothing to do with the website, as it works on Google Chrome on my computer, as well as firefox on other computers. It's something to do with firefox on my computer.
I've called the big guys to help you. Good luck.
Thanks for your help!!
